On August 28-31, 2016 PRIDE (Professionals in Doctoral Education) training course & 7th UNICA (Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe) PhD master class was held in Dubrovnik, Republic of Croatia (http://www.pride-project.eu/Training ). Academic and administrative staff of doctoral education programs from 13 europain countries attended the training course, including participant from Davit Tvildiani Medical University, Dr. Tinatin Zurashvili, Deputy Dean of the Faculty Medicine, and Dr. Veriko Mirtskhualava. Head of Research Unit.
The training course and PhD master class aimed at: discussing of modern principles in organization of doctoral education; sharing experience amongst academic and professional staff of doctoral education programs from various European Universities; reviewing job descriptions of administrative staff and adapting them to the modern requirement of the doctoral education; discussing roles and responsibilities of supervisors; and discussing strategies how to support carrier development of the PhD candidates.
